Hasse Persson är en av landets mest respekterade fotografer. Under åren 1967-1990 arbetade han som bildjournalist i USA och fotograferade allt från presidentvalkampanjer till den dekadenta nattklubben Studio 54 i New York. Hasse har givit ut fem fotoböcker och även hedrats med H. M. Konungens medalj för sina konstnärliga insatser som fotograf.
