More information

Carl Carlsson was bishop of Vasteras and was in favor with king Charles XI.
In 1678 he received the noble privileges and thus became the ancestor to the
Barons and Counts Cederström. With his first wife, Margaret Swebilia,
he got six children and the next wife, Catharina Broms, he had three more.
The unique invoice that accompanies the portrait of Carl Carlsson is signed
by the artist himself, David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl and dated 13 April 1691.
