More information

Hans Rogiers was born in Harelbeke near Kortrijk in Flanders. He becomes a burgher of Amsterdam on September 11th, 1598. He bought a house in Amsterdam, where he made a good living as a brass founder. One of the most important commissions that he received was a twenty-armed chandelier which he cast 1612. On May 1st, 1638, he was buried in the Westerkerk.
