A RUG. An old Esfahan Seirafian. 175 x 105 cm
An ivory ground with a polychrome flower vase, blooming trees, a medallion and birds. An ivory main border with a palmette and flower vine. One end has an inscription: ”Bafte Iran Esfahan-Seirafian (Knotted Iran – Isfahan – Seirafian). The pattern is attributed to Ahmad Archan. About 990 000 knots per square meter.
Dirty, stains, insignificant mothdamages. Minor colour run areas at the back, the sides have insignificant fold wear.
