Silk and yellow metal threads. A blue ground with a polychrome decor of five five-clawed dragons, cranes, clouds, flowers and symbols. The ends with the holy mountain and waves. A wave patterned border. Lined.

Little wear, stains, minor damages. The lining has stains and minor holes.

Provenance

From the collection of John Wilson. Manager of the Textile Machinery Department in China of Victor Sasoons’ Empire, Mr John Wilson and Margit Bond, an employee of the Swedish Consulate, they got married September 1st 1949 in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Shanghai. Thence by descent.
