The World's Fair. Maker's mark H8 WN PARIS 1937. Height 10 cm, width 6,8 cm (size rock crystal 4,2 x 4,2 cm), length of chain 62 cm.

Provenance

Margit Rosengren (1901-1952), actress and opera singer. She appeared on several theatres in different operetta roles, but also as a film actress and starred among others Ernst Rolf's revues.

Designer

Wiwen Nilsson was a Swedish designer born in Copenhagen. He studied at his father's workshop, as well as in Germany, Denmark, and France. Nilsson is primarily known for his objects created in silver with geometric, clean, and austere forms. Nilsson debuted at the Gothenburg Exhibition in 1923. At the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, he had his major breakthrough, and his innovative modernism was a success. Nilsson created, among other things, jewellery, table silver, and services.
