More information

In 1994 Ann-Sofi Sidén participated in an art project in a building at 53 W. 9th Street in New York. At the address, the retired psychiatrist Alice E Fabian had lived in splendid isolation for several decades. Surrounded by journals, recordings and markings on the walls, she was convinced she was the object of surveilance. Through her knnowledge from her trade she collected evidence that would support her thesis. This was the point of departure for Sidéns work for a number of years and the focus centers around madness as a creative impulse.
