Provenance

From the Collection of Carsten Frölich, Denmark.

Carsten Frölich was, as a young man, appointed Secretary to the Lord Chamberlain at the Royal Danish Court. During his Court-years he accompanied Their Majesties King Frederik and Queen Ingrid on their state visit to America in 1960. After his Court-service, Carsten Frölich travelled extensively in the Middle-and Far East during more than ten years, and held the position as operational manager for Northern Iran with his residence in Tehran. Back in Denmark he studied Art History at the University of Copenhagen in order to strengthen his natural talent for Heraldry. He is a member of "Societas Heraldica Scandinavica", The Scottish Heraldic Society and several other prominent Art Societies. Carsten Frölich has always been a connoisseur of beautiful artefacts. Several knighthoods have been bestowed on him and he has an international reputation as a Master of Heraldry and designer of exquisite artwork for the Royal Court, coats of arms, heraldic emblems, bookplates and monograms.
