Two blue and white dishes, Ming dynasty, Wanli (1573-1620).

Narrow flattened rim, decorated in underglaze blue with a frog and foliage under a tree with insects, the cavetto with elaborate ju-i head and tassled fringe, the rim with half-diamond and seed decoration. The reverse with floral sprays and zag-zag peach branch in horizontal section. Diameter 14 cm.
