A bronze figure of Amitayus, Pala-Sena style, late 17th/early 18th Century, possibly Eastern Tibet.

Depicted seated cross legged, both hands held one above the other in his lap, holding the vase of eternal life. The torso is bare except for jewelry consisting of armbands, necklaces and bracelets. A narrow scarf crosses the shoulders and upper arms terminating on either side with elaborate tripartite folds. Cast in several pieces, traces of pigment and cold-gilding. Height 35,5 cm.

Earrings and base missing.
