Obtained as a gift from Torsten Kreuger in 1941, thence in descent.

Axel Einar Hjorth started his own business after his time as chief architect at Nordiska Kompaniet, 1927-1938. His firm was situated at Kungsgatan in Stockholm.
The advanced shape of this bureau is probably unique.
