Signed Bror Hjorth and dated 1945. Canvas 99 x 81 cm. Total measurements including by the artist carved and gilt original frame 116 x 97 cm.

Provenance

Earlier in the collections of Engineer O. Jonsson, Uppsala, Sweden (acquired directly from the artist).
Subsequently by descent.

Bror Hjorth, "Mitt liv i konsten", 1967, listed in the artist's own catalogue, p. 202 (under the title "Ateljéinteriör med pojke och hund" and erroneously dated 1946).
