A blue and white dragon-dish, Qing dynasty, Guangxu six-character mark and of the period.

The Shallow dish brightly painted on the interior with two writhing scaly five-clawed dragons each in pursuit of a flaming pearl amid fire scrolls and cloud scrolls, the center medallion with a flower surrounded by layers of waves, the exterior simile painted with two five-clawed dragons each in pursuit of a flaming pearl. Diameter 15,9 cm.

Minor chips to rim, minor firing defects.

The collection is a study collection, accumulated during a lifetime. The collector operated within the field of oriental works of art. Due to his knowledge and sense of quality he was of great help to many of the members on Kinaklubben (The China Club) with members such as the Swedish Crown Prince Gustav Adolf, Emil Hultmark and Carl Kempe. The collection is mainly acquired in Sweden and London.
