Purchasing info
An old- and rose-cut diamond tiara, possibly made by Fabergé. Fitted case signed Fabergé.

Purchased by the family of the owner before 1917 in S:t Petersburg according to tradition. Tiara/brooch only marked with the kokoshnik-hallmark from S:t Petersburg before 1907. Diameter of centre stone ca 5.5 mm. Brooch part included.
Length 11 cm, height 5 cm. Weight 32 gr.

Fitted fabric in case possibly exchanged.

Provenance

This tiara was bought in St. Petersburg by General Brändström, the Swedish ambassador in S:t Petersburg 1906-1920, around 1907. The tiara was also worn by his daughter Elsa Brändström (1888-1948), known as “The Angel of Siberia”, due to her meritorious work during the First World War as a nurse in the Red Cross, in Siberia. Thence by decent.
