Diakov quotes only pieces in silver and bronze. H. Gube was a medallist who first worked in Berlin at the Daniel Friedrich Loos establishment. In 1830 he was appointed to St. Petersburg by Imperial Command to fill the post of chief-engraver and medallist at the mint.
