Provenance

The sofa marked with the Swedish Queen Viktoria's and later king Gustav VI Adolf's monogram (G VI A 43), also with paper labels marked "Hauskammerei-Inventar Selle 1226 No 26/27", "Inventar Schloss Carlsruhe Rechter Flügel", "Schloss - Inventar Karlsruhe Seite 177 No 51". Numbered 203. The armchairs have no marks or labels.

Drottning Victoria (1862-1930) var enda dotter till storhertig Fredrik I av Baden och hans hustru Louise av Preussen. Hon växte upp på slottet i Karlsruhe. 1881 gifte hon sig med kronprins Gustav i slottskapellet i Karlsruhe.
