A Swedish Grace table probably by Axel Einar Hjorth and Svenska Möbelfabrikerna Bodafors and S:t Erik, Uppsala 1923.

Oak top with inlayed faience tray decorated with the emblema for the 1923 Gothenburg Jubilee Exhibition, stained black wooden base. The tray signed and dated. Diameter 70 cm, height 63 cm.

Slight wear.

Björk, Ekström, Ericson, 'Axel Einar Hjorth - Möbelarkitekt', Signum 2009. The table has significant kinship to later models by Hjorth for Nordiska Kompaniet, for example, compare the "Library" table, designed in 1929, p 58.
