Gjutjärn. I form av syende kvinna. Bemålad i svart, rosarött, vitt och beige. Bronserade detaljer. Vev av porslin. Patent Nr: 5011. Längd 17,5, bredd 8, höjd 18,5 cm.

Wear. Minor dents and paint damages. Needle is missing. Function not tested.

Provenance

Swedish polar scientist and geologist Otto Nordenskjold, then by descent. Otto Nordenskjold led amongst other, the first Swedish polar expedition to Antarctica in 1901.

Two versions of this sewing machine are known. One with a seated clown, and one with a woman like this. Production lasted only a few years, and less than ten copies of this model are known in the world.
