A bronze figure of Buddha Sakyamuni, presumably Mongolia, 19th Century.

Inscription to back. Seated in dhyanasana on a high throne, his hands in the earth touching mudra, the folds of his sheer sanghati draped over the shoulder and gathered at the elbow and under the ankles, the face serene with bow-shaped mouth, heavy-lidded elongated eyes, the hair in tight curls over the ushnisha and capped with a pointed knop. Height 12,5 cm.
