A dark blue ground with a possible allegory of the music - a polychrome scene of a flute playing man, a dancing woman, putti playing music as well as a variety of musical instruments, birds, flowers and trees. An ivory main border with elephants, tortoises, predators and cartouches with portraits. The inner secondary border has an inscription: SEFARESH-E MOHAMMAD REZA KHAN (By the order of Mohammad Reza Khan), in a cartouche. Approximately 640.000 knots per square meter.
Little wear, slightly dirty, minor stains. One side has fold wear, the upper end has minor damages.
