A MAMLUK BOWL, underglaze painted pottery. Diameter 28 cm, height 12,5 cm. Syria 14th century.

A decor in blue and black. In the bottom a roundel enclosing a six-pointed star and plants. The inner walls with ten rectangular panels each bearing either a cross-hatching with dots or plants.

Restored, insignificant chips at the foot.
