Born into the Sicilian nobility in 1898, Fulco de Verdura (1898-1978) stand out from the designs of other twentieth-century jewelers for their glorious exuberance and refined glamour. Verduras fascinating career took him to Paris, Los Angeles and New York, where he was patronized by rich and famous. Cole Porter, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo and the Duchess of Windsor were his devoted admirers, just to mention some.
