A Hans Günther Reinstein 'Botticelli' tea and coffee service, Rosenthal & Co, Darmstadt 1904.

Comprising 1 coffee pot, 1 sugar bowl and cover, 11 coffee cups with saucers (3 extra cups also included), 1 teapot, 13 teacups with saucers and 11 dishes (diameter 17,3 cm). Stamped Darmstadt (1904), a few pieces stamped Rosenthal (1907).

Provenance

According to tradition the service was obtained as a wedding gift in the beginning of the century, thence in descent.

More information

Designed by Hans Günther Reinstein in 1902, first produced in 1903. The model was reportedly shown at the St Louis World Fair in 1904.
