GRIGORI RASPUTIN (1869-1916), letter, written by hand and signed. 1915.

The letter probably was written due to the presence at the hospital of a girl from high nobility. She was there incognito to give birth to twins and Rasputin afterwards took care of all the details.
Litteral translation of the letter: "sweet darling will help your case sad rosputin", on envelop: "Zaviduchey Hospital Gerson". 21 x 13,5, 26,5 x 21 cm. Envelop 14 x 11 cm. Certificate of authenticity and document with provenance follows the lot.

Slightly misscoloured with folding, some tearing and stains. Envelop with damage.

Provenance

Adele Karlsdotter Baumann-Kitsinge, born Friedling (1878-1969). Born in Tapa, Estonia, she studied medicine in St Petersburg. When Adele later became in charge for St Petersburg Hospital of Nobility she often met Rasputin. She always greeted him personaly on his arrival at the hospital. Adele returned to Estonia 1919 and spent summers with the current owner of this letter, which was a gift from Adele.
