Peach coloured ground with a large polychrome medallion, corner ornaments, palmette and flower vines. Ivory main border with a palmette and flower festoon.
Partly worn, stains among which a few are "cherook". The sides have minor fold wear.
This rug was bought in Persia by a Swedish officer who among around forty Swedish officers was engaged by the Shah to organize a gendarmerie to protect the connections and roads between the cities in the country. Between 1912-1915.
