David Bowies nya alster ”The Next Day” har på nolltid blivit 2013’s hittills bäst säljande album. Parallellt visar prominenta Victoria and Albert Museum den retrospektiva utställningen ”Dawid Bowie is”. I skenet av den stundande Bowie renässansen är auktionens porträtt högst intressant, i vilket Corbijn lyckas fånga en sida av Bowie som skiljer sig från det excentriska alter ego vi vanligtvis möter. Bilden är tagen under inspelningen av Broadway musikalen “The Elephant Man” i Chicago 1979. ”My biggest fear always is that I’ll photograph an idea rather than a person, so I try to be quite sensitive to how people are.” - Anton Corbijn.
