Det aktuella porträttet föreställer konstnärens hustru Maja.
De två träffades i tidig tjugoårsålder på eftermiddagsdans i "Den gula paviljongen" i Råsunda och följdes därefter åt. Maja gjorde deras hem i Hagalund till en blommande oas.
