More information

The Swedish sculptor Agnes de Frumerie studied at the Technische Schule and Academy in Stockholm. After some time in Berlin and in Italy she lived in Paris, where she got to know Rodin. In 1893 she became a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, became a friend of Adrien Dalpayrat for a short time, then of Edmond Lachenal, who executed a number of her works. She worked with glass, ceramics, bronze, silver and pewter. In 1930 she returned to Sweden, where she got interested in the technique of pâte de verre. In 1936, after her husband's death she moved to Stockholm. The Museum at Skara owns an important collection of her works.
