Per Torndahl var konstnärlig ledare för belysningsbolaget Atelier Torndahl i Perstorp mellan 1922-26. Wilhelmina (Tidit) Wendt var ett barnen till Perstorps Industriers grundare Wilhelm Wendt. Huruvida det är endera av dessa två som formgivit armaturerna är oklart. Enligt familjehistorik är det dock "Tidit" Wendt.
