From the Collection of Johan Lilliehöök, a large part of his Collection was formed during his years as a Swedish Envoye in Shanghai in the 1920’s.

Depicting Tsongkapa, the reformer of Tiebetan Buddhism. Seated in dhyanasana on a tiered lotus plinth wearing layered monastic robes embroided wiht a floral hem, hands poised in dharmacakra mudra and grasping two undulating lotus stalks rising upright to support a pustaka and a kahadga flanking the figure.
