Cartier was first established by Louis-Francois Cartier in Paris 1847. Succeeded by his son the firm moved to the prestigious rue de la Paix. In the early century 1900 Cartier got famous for perfectly mastering the 'garland style'. Through the decades of the 20th century different members of the Cartier family has successfully, in cooperation with many brilliant jewellery designers, turned Cartier to one of the most famous jewellery businesses in the world. A signed piece from Cartier will always guarantee intricate design and high quality.
