A pair of yellow-glazed incised dragon dishes, Qing dynasty with Qianlongs seal mark (1644-1912).

Finely potted shallow form, incised on the centre with a leaping dragon amongst cloud scrolls. The exterior with dragons chasing the pearl. Seal mark in underglaze blue. Diameter 14,2 cm.

Rim crack.

Provenance

The Collection of Gustaf Wallenberg (1863-1939). The collection was acquired between 1906 and 1918 when Wallenberg was the Swedish Envoyé in Tokyo, from 1907 he was also accredited for Beijing. Thence by descent.
