A French Malakit and gilt bronze mantel clock by Louis Japy, mid 19th century, for the Russian market.

Förgylld brons och fanerad med malakit. Sockel flankerad av soldater i rustning. Krönande härförare till häst. Urverk märkt "L&B" samt "L.s Japy Fils Médailles d'argent 1844 1849" (Louis Japy i Paris, mottog silvermedalj 1849). Längd 40, höjd 58 cm. Pendel och nyckel medföljer.

Malakitfaner med skador, lagningar.

Provenance

According to enclosed paper note a gift from the Russian Empress to a Finish court lady in the beginning of the 20th century. It was inherited by the Minister Erkko, who after the Civil War in the beginning of the 1920's gave it to Wilhelm Harbeck as a token of gratitude for extensive help.
