"Viktor Kopps måleri har under ganska lång tid fungerat som en slags klippböcker, där han låter element från både måleriets historia, populärkulturen och fragment av en personlig historia fogas samman i en sammanhängande helhet som dock inte har ambitionen att upprätta en harmoni som får alla motsättningar att slätas ut. Kopp nominerades år 2002 till det prestigefyllda Carnegie Art Award".
