A silver salver, marked OM BHUJ for Oomersi Mawji, Bhuj, Kutch, India, circa 1860-1890.

Repoussé silver platter raised on four feet. Centrally, chased and embossed elephants enjoying water in a tropical forest. The surface decorated with a foliage and flower scrollwork on a finely stippled ground. Acanthus leaves and small flowers adorn the rim. The front feet slightly curved compared to the back feet.
Marked OM and BHUJ.
Length 31 cm, width 23 cm, weight 480 g.

A minor dent. The general impression is good.
